Since 2018, the Fish Innovation Lab has supported and linked research partners around the globe to alleviate poverty and improve nutrition through the reliable and inclusive provision of nutrient-rich fish and other aquatic foods. Led by the Global Center for Aquatic Health and Food Security at Mississippi State University and funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the Fish Innovation Lab received its first 5-year grant in September 2018 and was awarded a 5-year extension in 2023. Join us to reflect on the success of the program, including seven activities led by 14 MSU faculty, and look ahead to the future. Together with global partners, the Fish Innovation Lab is translating knowledge into impact with direct benefits for farmers, fishers, and consumers across Africa and Asia.
